The Importantce of Determination Is...

ChessTactics
Hi everyone! I'm Sofia Yescas from the U.S (United States of America). I took some of GM Ben Finegold's puzzles from www.chess.com: The Ultimate Blunder. These examples show how most of the time, it's best not to resign. Sometimes even in the worst looking positions. Here are 5 of these examples:

What is it? It's part of mental strength. It's so important that if you say spell de-tr-min-at-shun you would maybe know the word right away. It's determination they say. It can completely change the way you look at things. It is special in many ways. You should have determination. You must understand the importance of determination. If your opponent is not determined and you are, you will likely win. But it's not possible if you don't enjoy playing chess. That's why some things are hard without likings. Here are the examples. You will see that even the greatest players like Garry Kasparov are not able to (most of the time) play perfect chess.

Example 1:

...

The answer is... Bxd2 Qxd2 Nxd2

Are you right? If you are then congratulations!

Example 2:

...

The answer is... Rc2 Rf1 Qd2. Are you right? If you are then congratulations!

Example 3:

...

The answer is... Kxf8 Bc5+ Re7! Are you right? If you are congratulations!

Example 4:

...

The answer is Ne3! Bxe3 Kh1 exf1 Qxf1+-. Are you right? If you are then congratulations!

...

The answer is Ra1 Rh2 Rg1! Are you right? If you are then congratulations!

If you had trouble solving these puzzles, then this is your weakness: Determination. As you can see in order to solve these problems you need a, "I want to win" mindset. You need determination to win. If you want to win, you will think deeply. Don't only look at the obvious. Put in your time and effort.
