Levitov Chess: Christmas Cup

Lichess is proud to announce a holiday-season prize tourney, open to all, with a prize fund of 1,000,000 Rubles. (approximately $16,000).

The Levitov Christmas Cup is a two-stage tournament. First there will be 5 Swiss qualifiers on December 9th, 12th, 16th, 19th, and 23rd. They will all be played at 19:00 Moscow Time/16:00 UTC. From those qualifiers 10 players will advance to the Knockout stage on December 24th and 25th. The first qualifier is already available here. The other 4 events will become available soon. They will be found on the Levitov Chess Team page[RU]. For an English-Language option, you could useThe Lichess Curator team, which keeps track of all big events played on Lichess.

The players will be awarded points after each qualifier, the 10 players with the most points will advance to the Knockout stage.

1st place -- 200

2nd place -- 170

3rd place -- 150

4th place -- 135

5th place -- 120

6th place -- 105

7th place -- 90

8th place -- 75

9th place -- 50

10th place -- 35
