THINK Club Championship Quarterfinals! (Round 2)

Upsets, Forfeits, and a Guest Writer?!

Hey everyone! Here I am again with another update on the Club Championship. This time we're in Round 2, the Quarterfinals! Only 7 players remain, each of them deserving of the crown - but only 1 will get to take the prize home! Stressful times for everybody, that's for sure!

However, I've been very busy with school and have somewhat spread out the work on this one. So, no puzzle pack this time around, sorry.

Results

Round 1's results are in!
@Windrunner315 - @luka3916 1-0 (win by forfeit)
@Eman1004 - @DanielJarlskov 1-0 (another upset win from Eman!)
@greedydragon - Bye 1-0 (Both players who would've fought for this spot were disqualified)
@Diego-Alexander - @Dark-Bi5hop 0-1

Standings/Odds

The matchups and odds for the next round (Semifinals!) are as follows:
@Windrunner315 50% - 50% @Eman1004
I've been lucky to make it this far, while Eman has proven his mettle by upsetting both @I_Am_Not_Me_Maybe and @DanielJarlskov! Who will be able to hold on to make it to the finals?

and
@greedydragon 20% - 80% @Dark-Bi5hop
This battle is certainly one to watch! @Dark-Bi5hop has a large advantage in rating, but rating isn't everything! Who will come out on top?
This round is certainly one to watch!

Guest Writer

After seeing the phenomenal game between @Diego-Alexander and @Dark-Bi5hop played this week, I reached out to @Dark-Bi5hop to see if he would be willing to explain his thought process for us mere mortals, and he graciously agreed! So, enjoy this fully annotated game from the likely future winner of the event!

Video Recap

We've just seen a fantastic study from @Dark-Bi5hop covering his game against @Diego-Alexander, but what about the other game played this round? Well, fear not, for video analysis of @Eman1004 vs @DanielJarlskov has been provided by long-absent Rex!

Conclusion

Only 4 of the original 40 participants remain - myself somehow being one of them!
This is the most exciting time of the entire tournament to date... who will manage to hold off blunders the longest and stand as Supreme Champion of THINK? Only time will tell....

Until then, see you guys later!
