Won DC Open in 1972. Won New Mexico Senior three times. Once had a USCF rating of 2177 and a FIDE rating of 2230. Won the Albuquerque Open and New Mexico Memorial. Writes a weekly chess newsletter for the Alamogordo Chess Club.
Worked for 36 years with the Federal Government including 25 years as a computer programmer at the Bureau of the Census at the Census Headquarters in Suitland, Maryland.
Used to be a decent bowler with an average as high as 170. Always a lousy golfer getting under 100 only once.
