GM Ju Wenjun won the FIDE Women's World Chess Championship 2025 and is now a five-time Women's World Chess Champion, just like the legendary GM Nona Gaprindashvili! A draw in Game 9 against challenger GM Tan Zhongyi was enough to secure the title with 6.5 to 2.5 points. Read our final recap blog, again with annotations by WGM Petra Papp.

Join us now on YouTube or Twitch with our hosts WIM Jesse February & GM Toms Kantāns, and our guest GM Rasmus Svane, for Game 9 of the FIDE Women's World Chess Championship 2025!
