The FIDE Women's Grand Prix 2024-25 ended after six tournaments: GM Zhu Jiner is the overall winner and, together with runner-up GM Aleksandra Goryachkina, secured a spot in the Women's Candidates Tournament! While GM Anna Muzychuk won the final event in Großlobming, Austria, she couldn't overtake Goryachkina to qualify for the Candidates.

GM Bardiya Daneshvar is the new Asian Chess Champion and IM Song Yuxin is the new Asian Women's Chess Champion! The top ten players of the Open and the top two players of the Women's tournament have qualified for the upcoming FIDE World Cup and FIDE Women's World Cup, respectively.

The fourth ChessMood 20/20 Grand Prix Qualifier Arena - again featuring a $1,000 prize fund - will be held on 20th May at 20:00 UTC! The event is open to all Lichess streamer teams. Read our full announcement and register your team now.
